Examine all the different steps of your fundraising effort. Isolate them, and ask yourself (or your team) if there’s a reason why they need to be done the way you’re doing them. If nobody knows the reason, forget the “because it’s always been that way” answer. Can that step be done differently? Can your process be changed to adapt to the present time? Hard questions, but it will be worthwhile to ask them – even if you don’t make changes right now.
